Just recently I’ve stumbled upon Ave Maria song by Beyonce and eversince I was intriqued by it.

At first I was finding out what Beyonce was reffering to in the song since I couldn’t really make out for sure whether she meant God or a guy… it’s weird if it refers to a Guy… but I simply can not connect to the meaning of it…

If anyone has a clearer explanation of it.. please do share it with me cos I am really really curious…

The music is beautiful, the song is short… lyric is as follow:

Ave Maria

She was lost in so many different ways
Out in the darkness with no guide
I know the cost of a losing hand
Never thought the grace of God go high

I found heaven on earth
You were my last, my first
And then here this voice inside
Ave Maria

I’ve been alone
When I’m surrounded by friends
How could the silence be so loud
But I still go home knowing that I’ve got you
There’s only us when the lights go down

You are my heaven on earth
You are my hunger, my thirst
I always hear this voice inside
Singing Ave Maria

Sometimes love can come and pass you by
While your busy making plans
Suddenly hit you and then you realize
It’s out of your hands, baby you got to understand

You are my heaven on earth
You are my last, my first
And then I hear this voice inside
Ave Maria
Ave Maria
Ave Maria

On Easter Sunday, I took time to go to bookstore to get a religious book as a gift to my sister who got baptised a few days earlier… after some time browsing the self, I picked up the latest book written by Pope Benedict XI.

Further browsing got me another book for myself. Book title is : Jesus Life Coach by Laurie Beth Jones. I flicked through the book and read the back of the book. I never heard about her before but I remembered seeing a book title Jesus CEO before and by reading the back of the book I noticed that this comes from the same writer.

I got interested to this book so I got these 2 books I’ve picked up and paid for it… One for my sis, and the later is a gift for me :)

I read it on nice Sunday afternoon that day… cozying in my bed… lazing around and just read… perfect :)

I think I have fallen in love with the book and fallen in love and rising my admiration to Jesus… I never saw Him the way this book had made me see. Thanks Laurie Beth.

Needless to say… I think I recommend this book to everybody… even when you think you’re balanced and centered enough and you don’t need self help books…

This book is simply a nice reading… and if we can put it into work everyday… then it’s even better :D

Some of the topics I like are… “Overcom Procrastination”… uh..oh… this is soooo me :P

“Have your Tent stolen” and “Keep Your Focus”…

I haven’t finished yet… so maybe I’ll have more as my favourites :D

When things in your life seem almost too much to handle, when 24 Hours in a day is not enough, remember the mayonnaise jar and 2 cups of coffee.

A professor stood before his philosophy class and had some items in front of him.

When the class began, wordlessly, he picked up a very large and empty Mayonnaise jar and proceeded to fill it with golf balls.
He then asked the students if the jar was full. They agreed that it was.

The professor then picked up a box of pebbles (kerikil) and poured them into the jar. He shook the jar lightly. The pebbles rolled into the open areas between the golf balls. He then asked the students again if the jar was full.. They agreed it was.

The professor next picked up a box of sand and poured it into the jar. Of course, the sand filled up everything else. He asked once more if the jar
was full. The students responded with an unanimous “yes.”

The professor then produced two cups of coffee from under the table and poured the entire contents into the jar, effectively filling the empty space
between the sand. The students laughed.

“Now,” said the professor, as the laughter subsided, “I want you to recognize that this jar represents your life. *
The golf balls are the important things – God, family, children, health, friends, and Favorite passions — things that if everything else was lost
and only they remained, your life would still be full.

The pebbles are the other things that matter like your job, house, and car.

The sand is everything else — the small stuff. “If you put the sand into the jar first,” he continued, “there is no room for the pebbles or the golf balls. The same goes for life.

If you spend all your time and energy on the small stuff, you will never have room for the things that are important to you.

So…
Pay attention to the things that are critical to your happiness.
Play With your children.
Take time to get medical checkups.
Take your partner out to dinner.
There will always be time to clean the house and fix the disposal.
“Take care of the golf balls first — the things that really matter.

Set your priorities. The rest is just sand.”

One of the students raised her hand and inquired what the coffee represented.
The professor smiled. “I’m glad you asked”. It just goes to show you that no matter how full your life may seem, there’s always room for a couple of cups of coffee with a friend.”
Please share this with someone you care about.

God Bless U

When I was still fresh graduate and started out on my first job with Siemens, I was excited and was grateful that I got pretty good pay at that time compared to my fellow friends also fresh graduates.

But then, as a couple of years goes by and nothing much happened, my young blood was really dissatisfied with the situation. I kept fighting off demotivations everyday… having to fight it off cos it’s coming up almost everyday… But I continued to work and to give my very best everyday… I made sure that no mater what, I should never sacrifice the quality of my work and remains professionally motivated at all times, even when everybody around me seems to be losing it.

Finally, on my 3rd year, my big boss called me out of the blue and offered me a very challenging position. One that didn’t exist before. I set the way things were done and the standards. I enjoyed a new way of doing business, travelling abroad and mingling with high level management. It was an experience I trully enjoyed and be grateful for… even though it also meant leaving office at 2AM at night and having to be back in office by 10 AM days in and days out… working on weekends…. having no life… for months… But it was FUN indeed :D well maybe I was young and ambitious so I did enjoy it tremendeously.

That was my first evidence of how persevering through hardships turns out to be rewarding at the end… it helped me grow much faster than if I’d led a breezy life… surrendering to bad mood, whinning, not performing because of not enough salary or annoying boss or annoying colleagues… losing patience to other people’s ignorance, narrowmindedness, rudeness, and so on…

Life is about choices… why choose the bad ones when we can simply choose the good ones?

oh and PS: I prayed every morning and night through the storms… and God trully helped me with it…

I can tell you for sure… when you surrender your life to HIM, you can really fly as all your burdens become so light and as perspectives are in order…

Love and Cheers!

Halo…

setelah semuanya tertulis dalam bahasa Inggris, saya pikir ada baiknya yang ini saya tulis dalam bahasa Indonesia walaupun yang saya akan saya share ini dalam bahasa Inggris.

beberapa waktu silam, melalui Blog www.gospel.com saya menemukan sebuah website bernama www.Backtothebible.org yang salah satu pagenya memuat The Twelve Voices of Easter.(http://www.backtothebible.org/index.php/Articles-by-Woodrow-Kroll/The-Twelve-Voices-of-Easter.html)

Cheers!

Welcome to th3readings…

I set up this blog because from the first day of lent, I’ve been trying to go to ‘Jalan Salib’ prayer but didn’t manage to come not even once [I feel really bad now :( ].

I had problems finding the information as to where and when such prayers are being held… thus I devote myself to finding out these kinds of information and to share it with others.

Further, as I was browsing through the internet, I found this really good website that provides an audio of the Twelve Voices of Easter. It’s really beautiful recordings and I highly recommend this to everyone.

It gives us a more dramatic account of the Mistery of Easter and how each figure’s could have been thinking or dwelling. It certainly help me remember more on the details of the Mistery of Easter and to understand the chronologies, the background of the people and so on…

well, if u’re interested, here’s the link: http://www.backtothebible.org/articles-by-woodrow-kroll/the-twelve-voices-of-easter.html

Enjoy! and Cheers!
